The goal of this project was to use grids to capture certain color groups and styles. Using grids, we are supposed to show creativity and our knowledge of the color wheel. On our walking field trip up to Washington Park, I was looking for vibrant colors to accentuate the colors of the color wheel. I wanted to find lots of complimentary colors and examples of different color palettes. As we were on the field trip, I ended up taking pictures of lots of trees, flowers, and thing on the ground. This gave me lots of natural colors to work with. The pictures that I took mostly had cold palettes. While I was taking pictures I found a leaf that looked really cool because it was being illuminated by the rising sun. I thought that this would be a super cool mood photo because it really spoke to me. The light and shadows of the picture stood out and accentuated the veins in the leaf and overall had a warm feeling. This warm feeling contrasts the cold feeling of autumn and winter.
